My journey in the beauty industry began in 2018 when I enrolled in Face to Face (now known as Blush Academy) to pursue my passion for beauty therapy. Initially, I wanted to specialize in massages, but my mom's wise words stuck with me: "Don't just study massages, study everything beauty." She encouraged me to explore all aspects of beauty, knowing that it would give me more options and flexibility after studying. I took her advice to heart and ended up discovering a broader passion for beauty, exploring various treatments and techniques.

 

I have to give credit to my parents for being my biggest supporters from the start. They allowed me to practice on them, and my mom and sister were more than happy to be my guinea pigs as I honed my skills. They even let me turn a space in our house into a home-based nail studio, and they always made sure I had everything I needed to succeed. Their support and encouragement meant the world to me.

 

To supplement my studies, I completed a nail course in November 2018, which eventually became a significant part of my business. As I gained experience and built my client base, I realized that nails were in high demand. I started working as a full-time nail technician from home, but it took me two years to realize that acrylic nails weren't my true calling. After five years of experimentation and perseverance, I finally cracked the code on creating healthy, long-lasting nails that my clients adore. There's nothing quite like seeing a client's smile when they leave with beautifully shaped, healthy nails.

 

When I got married, my husband became an integral part of Shay's Beauty. He's been incredibly supportive, going out of his way to care for the business just as much as I do. Together, we've transformed our vision into a reality, and our new space is the perfect Barbie dreamhouse – a haven where women can feel safe, pampered, and empowered.

 

As a perfectionist i strive to give my clients the best. But it's not just about the nails – it's about the experience. At Shay's Beauty, I want every client to feel like they're stepping into their own little slice of heaven. That's why I include a complimentary scrub and massage with each nail service, complete with a free pink drink to sip on while you relax. My goal is to create a safe, empowering space where women can unwind, enjoy some me-time, and leave feeling confident and beautiful. I believe that beauty is more than just physical – it's about the conversations we have, the connections we make, and the way we feel about ourselves.

 

After seven years of building my business, I'm eager to take the next step and provide an exceptional experience for my clients in our new space. I'm passionate about delivering top-notch service, and I'm committed to making Shay's Beauty the go-to destination for women who want to feel pampered, empowered, and beautiful.
